The biopic about jazz singer Monica Zetterlund was last night’s big winner with four awards.

Last night, the Swedish film industry paid tribute to the film year of 2013 when the Guldbagge awards celebrated its 50th anniversary at Cirkus in Stockholm. The box office hit Monica Z, co-produced by Svensk Filmindustri, was awarded for Best Actress (Edda Magnason), Best Director (Per Fly), Best Supporting Actor (Sverrir Gudnason) and Best Costume Design (Kicki Ilander).

Other notable achievements by BGM affiliated companies include Mikael Persbrandt, who was awarded Best Actor for his role in Mig Äger Ingen. The movie adaptation of Åsa Linderborgs novel was co-produced by Sonet Film. In addition, Hundraåringen som Klev ut Genom Fönstret och Försvann, the first feature film produced by FLX, won the Audience Award.
